Step out of reality and into the story!

The first ever WMW Interactive Arcade will showcase new storytelling technologies across innovative digital platforms — the tech is the entertainment and the art.  This hands-on event will spotlight an exciting midway of attractions from DHX, Copernicus, Current Studios, and NFB.

Hear from innovators and creators who are launching into new worlds and shaping the way we work, play and connect with games, technology, and media.  From animation installation loops to interactive films, video games, and more, a range of immersive experiences brings stories to life — starring you!

An added bonus this year, thanks to our partnership with Women in Music, is the mesmerizing rock/blues artist Christine Campbell who will join us to set the tone for the weekend of celebration.

Spotlight Conversation with Jen Holness
Hosted by Christine McLean
Saturday, March 4 | 9:15AM - 10:00AM | University of King's College

How does someone with a Political Science degree and no connections whatsoever in the film and television industry develop an award winning media company? Join Canadian film & television producer and screenwriter Jennifer Holness in this spotlight conversation as she discusses how she let her passion of storytelling, inclusion and art coverage into a company that strives to refocus the lens on stories, people and places we often don’t hear about.  The mantra of her company, Hungry Eyes Film & TV, is to inspire and entertain, and how they select projects that have some elements of both qualities.  As an award- winning writer, producer and Black woman, Jen will discuss the challenges and victories moving upwards in the industry.  She will talk about her experience working with a creative partner who is also her husband and father of her 3 teen girls!  Who gets to be the ‘wife?’  Finally, Jen will take questions from the audience about their own projects and some of ways they should think about to bring them to fruition.
